First, a recap of the chapter leading to the handful of verses that John includes to wrap it up.

Jesus enjoyed a private dinner with Lazarus, Martha and Mary. Shortly, the triumphal entry took place. A crowd of Greek Jews, in town for the Passover, went to see Lazarus.
The curiosity seekers found out the man who was recently raised from the dead had a more important guest, Jesus.

Approaching Philip and Andrew, they won an audience with the Messiah. He openly taught them. They seemed to accept the fact that he was the Messiah. God even made his approval known with a booming voice. But they had trouble understanding his need to die and be lifted up.

Jesus departed, but John includes a few extra verses. Did Jesus also teach them to these Greeks? In following cross references from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, it is very clear that Jesus often included these concepts in his ministry. The claims were no strangers to the gospel and New Testament writers.
