Or, When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.

Keith and Nathan are once again live in the studio! After a remark that Nathan made during our previous podcast, we decide to talk about what heaven will be like. We meander to other topics, so be sure to tune into the podcasts and give it a listen.

We talk about eating right, wild rides to church and what the devil has to do with unconscious dear.

Nathan talks about the perfect peace that will enjoy once we get to heaven. Will we be satisfied with banquet tables prepared before us. We discuss what a glorified body will be like.

Keith shares his theory about why Jesus still has wounds on his glorified body. Feel free to contact us. Keith is open for challenge. Who knows, you may even change his mind about it. Regardless whether Keith’s theory is correct or not, God has a purpose for it and we will discover that when we see him face-to-face one day.

We also discuss the matter of Christ being 100% man, as well as 100% God. It required a human body to bear the weight of all of our sin. It also required that he be 100% divine to pay for those sins for eternity.

Nathan changes direction to express that we each need to come to terms with who Jesus is. It’s not what others say he is, but who we say he is. He was more than simply a good man. He claimed to be eternal when he uses the phrase, “I am” about himself.

We talk about books that we have on our list of things to read. We also bring up the topic of bad theology, and why it’s a danger for those who remain in churches with incorrect teaching. It can be a trap to lead people astray. It’s not always God’s will to provide prosperity or healing. It provides a gospel that is self-centered, and doesn’t give an accurate portrayal of sin. Sin is ugly and brutal, and the main thing that separates us from God and our future home in heaven.

We discussed biblical figures who are said not to have died. Keith has another theory in this regard about Moses. It’s an easy theory to shoot down, and Nathan promptly does. In thinking concepts like this through, it demonstrates the creative imagination that God instilled in each of us. When theories are trivial, you have to remember that it probably doesn’t matter one way or another. Trivial topics are not important, or deal breakers. The best thing is to focus on sound Scripture and the teaching that God has revealed to us through them.

Keith begins the topic of whether AI is dangerous or not. For as long as it has been around, it is far from being so advanced to worry about. As biblical proof, Keith cites the tower of Babel, which was man’s highest achievement at the time. God managed to make sure that the project failed. As high-tech as we think we are, if we feel that we are advancing to the skies, God will make sure the rug is pulled out from under our feet again. While we hope that the idea of going green will work, it’s not quite mature enough to merit taking over tried-and-true energy sources. We agree that the future ought to be in nuclear energy, not solar or wind. It’s more safe, effective and efficient. Nuclear power plants have proven themselves for decades in use on Navy ships and submarines. Maybe we should just call it by a new name and people will accept it. I hope our conclusions don’t sound too fishy, and that fact checkers won’t Mark us for disinformation.

We put in a closing plug for other shows on the Christian Podcast Community before signing off with the gospel message by Nathan.
