Keith interviews a Navy veteran, David King. David has put together a team of fellow veterans who are motivated, and have been organizing a support group, especially targeted toward Blinded Veterans.
We first talk about David’s personal testimony, and becoming a believer in Christ as a child, then maturing in his faith during and after his time in the military. His commitment to raising his children in a godly fashion extends to his current ministry mentoring boys without a father figure in the home.
His lifelong commitment to lead, and encourage others now has him in the beginning stages of helping other blind veterans. The group that he is helping to form up isn’t quite ready for prime time. The mission of the support group will offer peer to peer assistance. Assisting where possible, and directing veterans to other sources when needed.
At this point a webpage is still under development, so if you are a Blind veteran, or knows someone who is, feel free to send an email to Keith through the webpage and he will pass it along to David.
