The conversation continues as Luke learns what the parable of the four soils means.
Amos the farmer guides Luke through the words of Jesus to explain that the gospel is unchanging, and is represented by the seed. Although each of the four soils are different, they all receive the same gospel. Whether the believer’s heart is hardened, ready or somewhere in between depends on the one receiving the seed.
Fortunately, people are not an inanimate like soil. Once the gospel has been received, we have the ability to move our hearts and to the good field.
