On another road trip, the audio might be less than desired, but the topic is an important one. Nathan and Keith discuss the importance of doing the right thing, no matter what it costs in comfort or popularity. Keith shares the following list of concepts and emotions, and Nathan fills in with his thoughts on the matter.

Keith Profile Picture.

Concepts:

  • doing right is not the same as being right. (As far as the world counts it in secular wisdom).
  • integrity. Moral character.
  • pursuing something meaninful or important.
  • courage (fearing, but moving forward)

Feelings:

  • Motivations inspired by dreams, goals, values.
  • fear, anxiety, or even guilt over doing right may appear.
  • Doubts can arise over anticipating failure, not being good enough, not being worthy.

risk:

  • doing right is the difficult choice
  • A reflection of good character.
  • Done for the good of corporate welfare.
  • using 10 commandments as a guide for morality.

Bunny trails take us down the path of exploring issues with morality and where it comes from. We discuss some topics that challenge our world today, and some of the flawed logic in them. Nathan gives examples from scripture of difficult decisions, and the commitment of biblical heroes. We mention using the 10 Commandments as a guide for morality, but the topic deserves a better look than what we can give it today.

As usual, we have some fun with the opening and closing of the episode. No real traffic laws were bent, broken, stapled, spindled, mutilated, or folded in the recording of this podcast.
