Key Concept

God’s sovereign power and authority in creation established

His power and authority in the garden, and His authority continues over our lives today.
He has the right to make the rules because He created it all and is Lord of all.
Adam and Eve were responsible as God’s stewards to lead creation properly and to make the proper moral choice by obeying God’s only rule.
Without sin, they were able to make that choice.

Transition:

God had provided so much for Adam, but He had one more incredible gift in store for the first man.
