Talk about situations in life when it would be impossible—maybe even dangerous—to try to fake something.

Ask:

• Why would a person refuse to submit to something that was for his own good?
• In what areas do Christians often struggle to submit to God’s will? (p. 93)

Transition:

In terms of our spiritual life, there’s no such thing as “faking it.”
We are either committed to God’s plan or we are going in the opposite direction.

In today’s session, we’re going to look at what it means to have a willing heart to obey God.
