Introduce:

Prior to the session, hang pictures of several road signs
that provide warnings around the room.
(Examples: danger ahead, hazard, slippery when wet, detour,
and so forth)
As adults arrive, discuss reasons why these signs might be placed on a roadway.

Ask:

• What could happen if someone refused to observe the signs?

Overview:

Discuss how warning signs can be indicators of a problem, whether with our health or on a roadway.

Transition:

In today’s session,
we’re going to look at some warning signs that Jesus gave
to reveal what was going on in the hearts of the people at the temple.
