This book was written shortly after the fall and destruction of Jerusalem.

We will discover how Jeremiah looked for and found God’s peace
during that terrible time of destruction.

OVERVIEW:

the book is composed of five funeral songs,
each expressing grief over the destruction of the city and the temple.

today’s study focuses on a portion of the third funeral song.
while Jeremiah grieved, he also had hope because of God’s lovingkindness for His people.
