Follow the Leader Being the leader in a child’s game is one thing. Now let’s think about the leaders in our communities, our country, and the world.

READ:

Call for a volunteer to read the introductory paragraph on page 53.

Starting with:

Most people would agree that leaders...

Ask:

• What should be the relationship between a leader’s words and a leader’s actions?
• What happens when leaders’ words and actions don’t align? (p. 53)

TRANSITION:

God reminds us through the prophet Jeremiah that human leaders will inevitably let us down. So we don’t need to put our ultimate hope in them. Instead, He has given us a trustworthy, righteous leader in Jesus.
