I remember the loyalty of your youth, your love as a bride—
how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.”

All who ate of it found themselves guilty;
disaster came on them.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

think about some things that essentially haven’t changed much over time.

read through Jeremiah 2:1-3 again
name the phrases God used to describe the people’s
earlier relationship with Him.

Highlight

a lot had changed since the early days of Israel’s history.
nstead of relying on God, the people
had forgotten everything He had done for them.

The words “I remember” in verse 2 help us see that
while the people had forgotten God, He had not forgotten them.
