Today’s passage focuses on a man
who had never seen anything physically,
but his physical and spiritual vision were both sharp
after meeting Jesus.

Point out that you will be studying the sixth sign:
Healing the man born blind.
CONTEXTUALIZE:
present a summary of John 9:1-23,
including details about how Jesus healed the man
and the fact that the healing took place on the Sabbath.
Note that Jesus had already healed at least one other person on the Sabbath
in John 5.

- "Is this your son, who you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?"
- he is, he was blind. how it happened, who did it. we don't know. ask him.
- they were afraid of the jews.
- jews agreed that if anyone confessed Him to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue.
