When a new business arrives in a community, there can be excitement surrounding the grand opening.
If there’s a ribbon-cutting ceremony,
politicians, investors, and the community gather to celebrate the new business.

Ask:

• How might the opening of a new business affect a community?

Transition:

Today’s study is set against the backdrop of the temple dedication ceremony.
Using the best supplies and skilled craftsmen,
Solomon oversaw the building of the temple, a magnificent structure,
where the people could gather to worship God.

In today’s Scripture passage, we will examine Solomon’s prayer at the temple dedication.
